[ 866. Wedding ]

I simply cannot comprehend how with 200% spares, murphy's law can still triumph. Early in the morning when i got up, gave bso a wake up call. That champion went back to sleep, and in the end when he's supposed to pick me up at 0715, he's still at home. I got to s2's place on a cab, paid by bso, of course. We tried the first battery of the video cam supplied to us. It died. Switch to backup battery. It lasted us long enough. Long enough to get to jeanette's place. Long enough for the haggling at the door. Just before the gate was finally opened... it died. Oh great. Then when we moved on using jeanette's brother's videocam, the battery went faulty. Oh, what a fantastic day...... I used my digital camera to capture videos instead... though i knew the quality will definitely be compromised. Never mind. That was our 300th percent backup already. And the last resort. Next up, we headed back to s2's place, where everything still went ok. Till we got back to jeanette's place again... we got there earlier than the bridal car, and guess what? we dozed off in the car and missed shooting the tea ceremony. Argh.

Murphy, screw you and your law.

Did i mention this? There was a funeral procession at the void deck of s2's neighbouring block, moving out at the same time as the second time we left for jeanette's place. Go piece things yourself.
