[ 78. Choir Letter ]

oh yeah, i think i did mentioned that i have the choir SYF cnetral judging coming up soon yeah...
yar. the trainings' extremely streneous. I'm gonna die...
This is the letter that mr azahar (my teacher ic) has given to the parents:

28th April 2003

Dear Parents / Guardian of

Support for the SRJC Voce (Choir)

1. The SRJC Voce (Choir) will be participating in the following two events:
a. Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging of Choirs on 6th May 2003.
b. Public Performance entitled ViBranTe II with the SRJC Concert Band on 14th May 2003.

2. The members are very excited (yeah right.) about representing the College (we have no choice.) in these two performances and would like to give their best. (or else we'll be given the slaughter knife.) They would be required (of course, waddaya expect? invited?!) to attend intensive practice sessions in the next two weeks. (kaoz...) The reheasrsal schedule is attached for your perusal and reference, please. (Thank you.)

3. In preparing diligently for the two events, the Choir members are likely to miss some lessons/tests. (oh great!) Neveretheless, we would like to assure you that all the lessons/tests that they have missed will be duly made up for by their subject tutors after the events. (No thanks... =p)

4. We look forward to your encouragement and support for your child/ward during this period of time. (like how? more chicken essence?) We would also appreciate your attendance at the concert on Wednesday 14th May at the Victoria Concert Hall. The concert commences at 7:30pm. (and no, no complimentary tickets. =p tickets are priced at 10 bucks each.)

5. We would be grateful if you could acknowledge receipt of this letter with your signature on the duplicate copy and return it through your child to me. (Oh.. so which is the original?) Should you have any queries, (keyword: "should" read: you better not have any) please feel free to contact me at 9*******. (But hopefully you don't.) Thank you very much for your kind attention and understanding. (This is said for formality sake only.) Best wishes to you and your family. (against sars...)
